Harriet: A Taste of
Freedom Art Exhibit
Curated by: Larry Poncho Brown
The Harriet Tubman Freedom Center for Cultural and Educational Advancement came alive with “Harriet: A Taste of Freedom”, a breathtaking pop-up exhibition that inspired Cambridge residents with courage, creativity, and history in motion.
As the Mid-Atlantic Region's largest-ever Tubman-focused showcase, the exhibit featured over 80 works by over 40 visionary artists, each capturing the spirit of resilience and liberation in vivid form.
From pictorial quilts and digital designs to bold canvases and abstract compositions, the gallery came alive with artistry that honored Tubman’s unyielding legacy.
The day was filled with emotion as attendees experienced each unique piece in their own way. The show was a testament to the powerful connection between art, heritage, and community.
